From my perspective, the spiritual journey is a never-ending exploration of our consciousness, with the intent of finding our way back to the frequency of LOVE. This frequency is required to access higher wisdom and become a multi-sensory human. How you choose to embark on this journey and embody love is what I see as YOUR spirituality.
Growing up, as tight as I tied my Rebook’s, I tied spirituality and religion together. I never explored what the word spiritual meant on its own. In my early 20’s I turned away from religion because of the decade of private catholic education I had on top of many awkward years of having to participate in a youth group at a baptist church. I was stuffed with religion, none of it resonated with me, and my life was not improving.
What I discovered was that religion shut the door on the idea of metaphysical exploration. This natural curiosity is a fundamental human quality that keeps us evolving. I was that kid who asked a lot of questions, and this trait has not let up as an adult. What I discovered and what has resonated with me, is getting in-sync with the frequencies that both physics and nature demonstrate through natural rhythms, create, expand and harmonize all life, everywhere. This begins with the frequency of LOVE. Let me pause for a moment and touch on the word frequency. There are hundreds of thousands of peer reviewed articles, books, and interviews combined that explain what underpins all existence, and that is energy. Love is an energy, a high frequency. You’ve felt it and you’ve felt without it.
The love I am talking about is a platonic love, love without sex or romance. The offshoots of love are joy, happiness, inspiration, compassion, to name a few. When we align ourselves with these frequencies, we’re working with the intelligence that suspends planets in the sky. If you feel like you need a religion to help you arrive at these love-like frequencies, I fully support that, but I do not believe that religion is required to get there. I see spirituality as being more universal, transcending religions, with no boundaries, like our universe.
So, if your life resembles Groundhog Day, then I invite you to suit up and step forward to begin your spiritual journey. It begins with the age old saying “know thyself”. To access the frequencies of love and its companions, you have to go through an initiation process of self-awareness, self-recognition, and self-empowerment. This requires you to become conscious of what you have been unconscious of, so yes you must explore your consciousness. I like to think of our consciousness like Narnia. It’s always been there, waiting for you to walk through the back of the closet into the mystical realm to explore it.
This is where MOST people stop, and they stay in their own Groundhog Day because self-exploration can be uncomfortable, scary, an unknown, or they don’t know any better. When you are willing to examine your life and get vulnerable, you start discovering who you truly are, and yes the truth will set you free. Free from limiting beliefs, stories you’ve been telling yourself, resentment, fears, insecurities, and emotional baggage you’ve been carrying around, consciously and unconsciously. For anyone interested in intentionally manifesting a bigger life you HAVE to clear these things out.
The spiritual journey back to love is a call to awaken to our true human potential. When we embody the unshakeable belief in the power of love and its companion frequencies, the side effects are a more harmonious relationships, an increase in net financial worth, improved health and vitality, more joy, and my favorite, becoming multi-sensory. If more people made the decision to explore their consciousness and embody LOVE, we would be embracing our roles as empowered human beings in this evolving universe…and as we evolve as a collective, just imagine what the world could look like.
